health care

The health care module explores how concepts and their definitions matter to health care workers’ conditions of work and health, not only in the collection of data on the organization of health care work, but in shaping understandings of how the health care system operates. Its central focus is the different ways of seeing the health care industry and care giving occupations, and how they shape the valuation of this work. The module also links concepts related to health care work (paid and unpaid) to those defining public and private care in the formal economy, the community, and the household.
