The unpaid work module examines how certain types of gendered work within our society come to be socially valued and organized. This module investigates how unpaid work is stratified by gender, and differentiated in a manner that results in women performing the bulk of unpaid labour, as well as the devaluation of such activities and their social and economic consequences.
